Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR70) O-Ring oil resistance hydraulic seal
Nitrile butadiene rubber or nitrile rubber is copolymerized by acrylonitrile and butadiene with acrylonitrile content ranging from 18% to 50%. Nbr is one of the most commonly used rubbers for oil seals and O-rings.
With the containing of acrylonitrile, the higher the acrylonitrile content, the better the resistance to petrochemical hydrocarbon fuel. However, the performance under low temperature will be poorer. The normal temperature range for product use is from -25 °C to 100 °C.
Used for fuel tanks, lubricant oil tanks, and to make rubber parts used in fluid media such as petroleum hydraulic oil, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone oil, diester lubricating oil, and glycol hydraulic oil. It is the most widely used and cost-effective rubber seal in the market.
Material | Nitrile Butadiene Rubber |
Article No. | NBR70 |
Function | oil seals and O-rings. |
Scope of application | Used for hydraulic system, such as fuel tanks, lubricant oil tanks, heavy machinery, press fittings |
Thickness | 2 (mm) and customed size |
Inner diameter | 4 ~ 60 (mm) and customed size |
Outer diameter | 7 ~ 75 (mm) and customed size |
Operating temperature | -25 to 100 (℃) |
working pressure | ≤40 Mpa |
Medium | fluid media such as petroleum hydraulic oil, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone oil, diester lubricating oil, and glycol hydraulic oil. |
Shore A hardness | 70±5 |
Advantages | - Good resistance to oil, water, solvent and high-pressure oil. - Low permanent compression set value, good abrasion resistance and elongation. |
Disadvantages: | - Not suitable for use in polar solvents such as ketones, nitrohydrocarbons, MEK and chloroform. It has poor weather resistance and needs to be protected from damage of ozone and ultraviolet rays. |
